Types of Submissions and Paper Format

Participants are invited to submit an abstract concerning one or more of the subject areas of the conference according to the following instructions.

Abstract submission

  • The maximum length is 2,000 characters, including spaces.
  • Submit the abstract via the conference submission system.
  • Note that it is possible to submit a standalone abstract only or further extend it to a full paper.

Full Paper Submission

After the acceptance of the abstract, prospective authors are invited to submit a full version of the conference paper according to the following instructions.

  • The required length is no more than 6 pages including results, figures, references, and appendices.
  • Use the provided templates in Word or LaTeX.
  • Contributions must adhere to our ethical guidelines.
  • Submit the full paper via the conference submission system.

Log in to the EasyChair conference system

  • If you have an existing EasyChair account, log in using your username and password.
  • New users, click “create an account” and follow the provided instructions to set up your account.

Select “New Submission” from the top menu

3.

Follow the prompts and provide the required information

  • Author(s) information.
  • Title and abstract of your contribution.
  • A minimum of three keywords.

4.

Leave the “Files” section empty at this stage

  • You will upload the full paper file here later.
  • No PDF version of the abstract is necessary.

5.

Click the “Submit” button to complete your submission

  • You can revisit your submission at any time by clicking on “Submission #” in the top menu (# represents your submission number).
  • If you need to make any changes to your submission, such as updating information, authors, submitting a new version, or withdrawing your submission, use the links available on the right-hand side.

Full papers will be published in the Conference Proceedings upon successful peer-review procedure and after the conference fee is paid.

After the conference, selected best papers in the area of competitiveness will be invited to submit their extended papers to the Journal of Competitiveness (2023 IF 4.4, Q3 according to AIS).

This special issue is especially relevant for contributors and participants of the Mathematical Methods in Economics conference series, as it seeks to bridge theoretical advances with real-world problem-solving in economics, management, and beyond.

By bringing together interdisciplinary perspectives and methodological innovations, this issue will serve as a platform for showcasing how modern optimization techniques are driving progress across the OR spectrum — both in theory and in impactful applications.
